<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily recognize the amount of declaration of the reduction of medical expenses. <P>SOLUTION: A POS terminal 10 outputs a receipt in which the identifier and sum of merchandise as the object of the reduction of medical expenses are recorded and a receipt where the identifier and sum of merchandise as the object of the reduction of medical expenses are recorded as long as there is any prescription or the certificate of a doctor. A portable telephone set 40 reads the identifiers and sums of merchandise recorded in those receipt, and transmits them to a service server device 50. The service server device 50 classifies the identifiers and sums into the group of first reduction merchandise as the object of the reduction of medical expenses and the group of second reduction merchandise requiring any prescription or the certificate of a doctor in the case of the reduction of medical expenses. Then, the total of the classified sales sums is calculated for the group of the first reduction merchandise and group of the second reduction merchandise.
