<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste water treatment system which can improve the biological activity of sludge and the autolysis rate of the sludge to reduce surplus sludge. <P>SOLUTION: The waste water treatment system for biologically treating waste water with activated sludge comprises an oxygen supply means 2 for supplying oxygen to the sludge, a floc crushing means for crushing sludge flocs, and a solid-liquid separation means 3 in a biological reaction tank 3a for separating sludge and treated water.
