PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel reformer which can obtain ample improvement in the combustion efficiency, and which can stand long-term use. SOLUTION: The fuel reformer 1 is, for example, mounted on a fuel supply path from a fuel tank to an engine of a vehicle. When petroleum liquid fuel, stored in the fuel tank of the vehicle, flows into a cylindrical container 4 from an inflow hole 52 through a fuel supply passage, the fuel is reformed by first fuel-reforming grains 2, second fuel-reforming grains 3 and permanent magnets within the cylindrical container 4. When the reformed liquid fuel flows out of an outflow hole 53 and supplied to the engine, the combustion efficiency is enhanced, the effect of improving fuel economy, as well as reducing exhaust gas, is obtained.
