PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact structure battery capacity sensor for detecting battery capacity which measures more properly than conventional sensor does. SOLUTION: The battery capacity sensor 100 comprises a weight 20 immersed in a battery liquid 220 of a battery, which displaces by a change of buoyancy of the battery liquid 220 accompanying a change of specific gravity of the battery liquid 220; a diaphragm 17 connected with the weight 20, which is bent by the displacement of the weight 20; and a pressure detection room 18 divided with the diaphragm 17. A sensor 15 is a pressure sensor 15 placed in the pressure detection room 18, and the pressure sensor 15 outputs an electric signal according to a change of pressure in the pressure detection room 18 accompanying the bending of the diaphragm 17 by the displacement of the weight 20.
