PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sludge floating depressant capable of efficiently concentrating sludge by depressing activity of a microbe in a sludge concentration tank. SOLUTION: The sludge floating depressant to be used when raw sludge containing extracted sludge of a first sedimentation basin is concentrated by the gravity includes a bacteriostat (for example, sodium pyrithione, sodium azide, 4, 5-dichloro-1, 2-dithiol-3-on, a phosphonium compound and a triazine compound).
