PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To find out an access point of a video data rapidly and to conduct a speedy search. SOLUTION: In the recording medium loaded on a reproduction apparatus from which the video data are read while their read position is controlled on the basis of recorded address information, moving picture data are coded and recorded as a bit stream comprising in-frame pictures and inter-frame pictures and each of entry packets comprising positional information of the in-frame coded pictures discretely selected for access in response to a searching speed is multiplexed and recorded so as to be located before the in-frame coded pictures in the bit stream.
