PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable broadcast receiver which uses a broadcast receiving antenna having a high sensitivity direction (directivity) and can indicate a direction to which the high sensitivity direction of the antenna should be directed, to a user. SOLUTION: A system controller 13 can generate display angle information (θ2-θ1) showing the direction of a broadcast transmitting station to the high sensitivity direction of the broadcast receiving antenna 1 by performing operation processing using a direction angle (θ1) being an output of an electronic compass 16 and a direction angle (θ2) of the broadcast transmitting station to the present position. Then, the system controller 13 displays an arrow mark, for example, at an upper right corner of an LCD monitor 7 by using an OSD (on-screen display) function and performs tilting processing of the direction indicated by the arrow mark on the basis of the display angle information (θ2-θ1).
