PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for synthesizing a biaryl compound, making it possible that an unstable triarylborane compound is industrially used in a stable form by Suzuki-Miyaura reaction and economically useful. SOLUTION: This method for producing the biaryl compound expressed by Ar<SP>1</SP>-Ar<SP>2</SP>(Ar<SP>1</SP>is phenyl or the like; and Ar<SP>2</SP>is phenyl or the like) comprises reacting any one of a triarylboron amine complex expressed by Ar<SP>1</SP><SB>3</SB>B-NR<SP>1</SP>R<SP>2</SP>R<SP>3</SP>(R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP>and R<SP>3</SP>are each H, an aklyl or the like) and an organic boron-alkali metal hydroxide adduct expressed by Ar<SP>1</SP><SB>3</SB>B-WOH (W is Na or the like) with an aromatic or unsaturated heterocyclic compound expressed by Ar<SP>2</SP>X (Ar<SP>2</SP>is phenyl or the like; and X is a halogen or the like) in the presence of a transition metal-based catalyst expressed by MY<SB>n</SB>L<SB>m</SB>and, if necessary, a phosphine ligand and in the coexistence of a base.
