PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively back-wash a bag filter of a pneumatic transporting machine when pneumatically transporting powder material by using a batch type suction system pneumatic transporting machine. SOLUTION: The pneumatic transporting machine 26 having a flap valve 62 of a power drive 58, a discharge damper mechanism 94 and a filter back-wash mechanism 74 is used to be operated for the predetermined time to pneumatically transport the powder material into a suction chamber. Continuously, suction is stopped, and the flap valve 62 is closed to maintain the high-vacuum state inside the suction chamber 52, and a shut-off valve 44 is closed to seal the high-vacuum state inside the suction chamber. Continuously, the back-wash mechanism 74 is operated to inject air pulses to the bag filter 72, and the bag filter can be effectively back-washed by using a high pressure difference between in front and rear of the filter.
