PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveyor capable of suitably dividing works to be conveyed in a longitudinally overlapped state into sections every predetermined number. SOLUTION: The conveyor comprises a conveying means to convey flat works forming an overlapped row in which the works are arranged in the conveying direction and partially overlap each other, and a dividing means to form a space in the overlapped row of the works. The conveying means consists of conveyors 1A, 1B, and a counting sensor 26 is arranged on the upstream side conveyor 1A. The dividing means has a holder 30 consisting of an upper pressing tool 31 and a lower pressing tool 32. The holder 30 is arranged on the downstream side of the counting sensor 26, holds a part of the work on the conveyor 1A when the counted value based on the detection signal of the counting sensor 26 reaches a predetermined value, and moves to the conveyor 1B side. When the work held by the holder 30 reaches the conveyor 1B, the traveling speed of the conveyor 1B is set to be higher than that of the conveyor 1A. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
