PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speed-reducing control device for a vehicle, capable of suppressing giving a driver incompatible feeling when deceleration larger than deceleration which the driver assumes is added. SOLUTION: The speed-reducing control device for a vehicle comprises a means for inputting information about a branch point of a road in front of a vehicle, a means obtaining a place where speed-reduction should be started for traveling on at least one specified front side road of a plurality of the front side roads in front of the branch point, a means detecting a speed-reducing intention of the driver. When the speed-reducing intention (an A point) of the driver is detected at the plate where the speed-reduction should be started, and furthermore, when it is determined that the speed-reducing intention of the driver continues during a predetermined section (Pr), speed-reducing control making deceleration effective for traveling the specified front side road act on the vehicle is carried out.
