PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding process capacity index calculating method, a process capacity index calculating system, and a process capacity index calculating program for correctly determining the process capacity. SOLUTION: The welding process capacity index calculating method for calculating the process capacity index of the welding process from the statistical data of the welding tensile strength on the plug fracture, the base metal fracture and the shear fracture of a work 53 welded by a predetermined welding step comprises: a distortion calculation step (S1) of calculating the degree of distortion in which the distribution of the statistical data is distorted with respect to the normal distribution; a distortion degree determination step (S2) of determining whether or not the degree of distortion calculated in the distortion calculation step exceeds a reference value; and a first process capacity calculation step (S5) of calculating the process capacity by the process capacity index of the distorted distribution when it is determined that the degree of distortion exceeds the reference value in the distortion degree determination step.
