PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a child-care apparatus eliminating the moving of a movable part against the intention of a user by suppressing live load from the movable part from directly applying to a retaining part during stopping of the movable part. SOLUTION: This child-care apparatus is provided with the retaining part 20 provided in the upper part of leg parts 13, the movable part 30 mounted on the retaining part 20 to freely reciprocate in the approximately horizontal direction, provided in the lower part of a child-care apparatus body part 11 and having an engagement object member 32 in the bottom part, and a lock part 40. The lock part 40 is provided with an engagement member 41 provided on the retaining part 20, and lifting and engaging the engagement object member 32, an operation lever 42, and a link mechanism 45 connected between the engagement member 41 and the operation lever 42.
