PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a drop optical fiber communication wire may be cut by being locked to an engagement groove at the tip of a hook part and the operability of the work may be lowered by requiring a meticulous care. SOLUTION: This locking metal hook for an elevated place is provided with a hook part 2 having a locking space 1 in its upper part, a hook body 4 having an annulus part 3 in its lower part, an opening/closing cap 5 pivoted to the hook body 4, and a connecting bar 6 connected to the opening/closing cap 5 and having a suspension annulus part 7 projecting to the body back side; and the back face of the hook body 4 is provided with a sliding material 41 in the upper part and a locking pin 42 in the lower part to regulate the vertical turning of the connecting bar 6. A connecting shaft 62 rotationally connecting the opening/closing cap 5 to the connecting bar 6 is provided with a guide member 8 adjacent to the engagement groove 21 at the tip of the hook part 2 engaging the locking space 1 in closing, and the outer face 81 of the guide member 8 is disposed in a position similar to the inside face 22 at the tip of the hook part 2 or a projecting position to prevent the intrusion of the narrow-diameter communication wire in the engagement groove 21.
