BLOCK POLYMER COMPOUND, COMPOSITION CONTAINING THE SAME, INK COMPOSITION, LIQUID IMPARTING METHOD USING THE INK COMPOSITION AND LIQUID IMPARTING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a block polymer compound which is capable of properly dispersing a functional material comprising a dye or a pigment in a solvent, and to provide an ink composition excellent in water resistance, where the lining projection of printing image is suppressed.

SOLUTION: The block polymer has at least two or more of block segments wherein the at least one of the block segments of the block polymer contains a repetition unit having an organic acid or an organic acid derivative comprising a polycyclic aromatic group as a side chain and a repetition unit having an organic acid or an organic derivative comprising a monocyclic aromatic group or an aliphatic group. The ink composition contains the block polymer compound, a solvent or a dispersing medium and a coloring material. The ink composition is used for an ink jet apparatus.
