<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic power steering apparatus favorable for suppressing a difference in a driver's steering feeling. <P>SOLUTION: The hydraulic power steering apparatus comprises: an assist power generator 1 for causing oil to generate an assist power against a steering by a steering means; a variable flow rate oil pump device 4 for supplying the oil for causing the assist power generator 1 to generate the assist power to the assist power generator 1; and a control means for controlling the oil pump device 4.
