<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor capable of reducing deficit of a read image caused by original skew as much as possible. <P>SOLUTION: When an original to be conveyed is skewed, a sub-scanning effective image area is set so that a point 132 corresponding to a middle point of the skewed original is located at the center of an effective image area in a sub-scanning direction.
