<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information code reading device for comprehensively estimating such a status that the reading of an information code is performed, and for appropriately switching control conditions according to the estimated status. <P>SOLUTION: When the reading of a bar code is started, the controller of an information code reading device estimates such a status that the reading of a bar code is performed based on (step S3) the angle of inclination of the device to be detected by an inclination sensor (steps S4, S9, S12), and the changeover setting of the reading control conditions of the bar code is performed according to the estimated reading conditions (steps S5, S10). Concretely, the changeover setting of an "exposure time", "the gain of an amplifier", "focal distance" and "the brightness of illumination" is performed as conditions relating to the reading control of an image signal among reading control conditions, and the changeover setting of a "binarization algorithm" and "code type to be decoded" " is performed as "conditions relating to the processing of the image signal". <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
