摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device capable of simultaneously measuring a visceral fat tissue accumulated in the trunk part along with subcutaneous fat tissue layer information by just changeover. <P>SOLUTION: A current is applied to a portion having a thin subcutaneous fat tissue layer, or a portion having no belly muscle part or a thin belly muscle part of the skeletal muscle tissue layer, and a portion having a thick subcutaneous fat tissue layer; at least one voltage measuring electrode included in one voltage measuring electrode pair of at least two voltage measuring electrode pairs is disposed in a position under the predominant effect of spreading resistance immediately under the current application electrode, and the other voltage measuring electrode is disposed in a separate position therefrom till the effect of the spreading resistance immediately under the current application electrode is lowered, so that a potential difference between one voltage measuring electrode and the other voltage measuring electrode is measured to obtain the subcutaneous fat tissue layer information; the other voltage measuring electrode pair of at least the two voltage measuring electrode pairs are disposed in a separate position till the effect of the spreading resistance immediately under the current application is lowered and the potential difference is measured to obtain the visceral fat tissue information, and one voltage measuring electrode pair or the other voltage measuring electrode pair is selected to selectively obtain the subcutaneous fat tissue layer information or the visceral fat tissue information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
