<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil/fat-containing waste water treatment apparatus which decomposes oil/fat in a grease trap, has high generality, and is advantageous to cost and maintenance, and a treatment method which efficiently decomposes the oil/fat in the grease trap. <P>SOLUTION: The oil/fat-containing waste water treatment apparatus 100 for decomposing the oil/fat in the oil/fat-containing waste water in the grease trap by the action of an immobilized lipase E and microorganisms assimilating organic substances comprises a container main body 60 which has an intake port 61 for taking in the sucked and taken-out oil/fat-containing waste water rich in oil/fat, accumulated in the upper layer in the grease trap, and a discharge port 62 formed so as to be capable of discharging the decomposed waste water while leaving a part of the waste water, an enzyme holder 70 which is installed in the container main body 60, accommodates the immobilized lipase E while preventing its flowing out, and through which the oil/fat-containing waste water freely passes, and an agitation means 75 which agitates the oil/fat-containing waste water in the container main body 60.
