PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid jet device superior in untouched reliability in the case of leaving unattended without sacrificing a load characteristic. SOLUTION: A tube pump 28 comprises a pressure tube 50, a pressure roller 61 for pressing the pressure tube 50 and a roller holder 60 for holding the pressure roller 61 provided in a container unit 29 as a roughly hermetically-sealed container. The pressure tube 50 is held in the container unit 29 along the inner side face 36 to be in a U-shape in a condition that both ends thereof are connected to communication sections 31, 32. The roller holder 60 is rotatably held by a holder shaft 70 and bearing sections 34, 41. The tube pump 28 generates a negative pressure by pressing the pressure tube 50 by virtue of the rotation of the roller holder 60 and effectively suppresses evaporation of ink from the pressure tube 50 contained in the container unit 29.
