PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microphone system that makes it possible to specify the direction of a target sound source and also auditorily recognize what sound is generated by the target sound source with simple constitution. SOLUTION: The microphone system is equipped with a microphone probe 12 constituted by arranging six microphones M1 to M6 in pairs on respective (x), (y), and (z) axes, and an arithmetic processor 18 which specifies the direction of the target sound source from sound pressure data measured by those microphones M1 to M6 and selectively collects a sound from the direction of the target sound source by using the microphone probe 12. Consequently, it is made possible to auditorily confirm what sound is generated by the target sound source without additionally providing a zoom microphone. Consequently, the device constitution is simplified to increase portability, and precision and operation efficiency of selective sound collection are sufficiently increased.
