PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an infrared remote control device in which the reduction of power consumption and the stabilization of remote control performance are possible. SOLUTION: The infrared remote control device 30 is provided with an infrared light emitting diode 21, and carries out remote control by emitting light in a desired light emitting pattern of the infrared light emitting diode 21. The device is provided with a voltage detection means 23 which detects a voltage of a power source of the infrared light emitting diode 21, and a light emission intensity changing means 20 which changes the light emission intensity of the infrared light emitting diode 21 according to a voltage value detected by the voltage detection means 23.
