PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper money identification storage apparatus which synchronizes pressing operation of paper money with opening and shutting operation of a slide plate that blocks a part of an opening face of a storage, is easier to take out a paper money storage with a simple structure and operation, and can be downsized. SOLUTION: In a paper money identification machine main body (1), a pressing mechanism is composed of a rotation body (9) forming a rocking motion cam (9a) on the bottom part of the rotation body (9) and a press-down plate (90) having a rocking motion cam (90a) engaged with the cum (9a). Also, a cam (9α) linking to an driving mechanism (11) is formed in a body part of the rotation body (9) so as to perform advance or retreat movement of the slide plate (8) which blocks a part of the base edge (6<SB>1</SB>) side on the opening surface of the storage (6) which is synchronized with operation of the mechanism to press the paper money into the storage (6). The apparatus is appropriate to be used for a Pachinko ball rental machine installed to a Pachinko game machine or a Pachinko slot game machine, other vending machines, and the like.
