PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an emulsion composition that has improved stain resistance and blocking resistance, is made into a film even at a normal temperature without using a large amount of an organic solvent and is applicable to a flexible ground substrate such as a waterproof material, etc., and a coating mixed with the emulsion and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: The emulsion composition comprises an alkoxysilyl group-containing core/shell type acrylic emulsion. It is found that the adjustment of the Tg of a shell part to≤40°C and the introduction of an alkoxysilyl group having a high crosslinking density into a shell part improve stain resistance and blocking resistance while securing film-forming property at a normal temperature, on the other hand, adjustment of the Tg of the core part to lower by≥15°C than the Tg of the shell part and introduction of an alkoxysilyl group having a low crosslinking density into a core part improve flexibility and freezing damage resistance.
