PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat insulating box maintaining the airtight state during the storage and conveyance, lightweight, low in manufacturing cost, and applicable to the fluid granules. SOLUTION: In a container part 10, a container bottom part heat insulating plate and four container side wall heat insulating plates 11 surrounding four sides of the container bottom part heat insulating plate adhere to each other to form a box with a top side opened, and a lid part 30 is constituted of a lid part heat insulating plate having a projecting part to be engaged with an opening part of the container part 10. A side wall of a groove-shaped metal member 21 for fixing the top side is mounted on upper faces of the container side wall heat insulating plates 11 to surround the opening part so as to hold both sides of the heat insulating plates 11. The entire container side wall heat insulating plates 11 are connected to each other, and any deformation of an upper portion of the container part 10 does not occur. Thus, even when the fluid granule such as granular dry ice is stored in the container 10, any gap is formed between the container part 10 and the lid part 30 with a simple configuration, and the airtightness between the container part 10 and the lid part 30 is maintained.
