PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article constituted by superposing a plurality of absorbent single bodies and used by peeling an upper side absorbent single body after use having a structure by which twists and wrinkles are hardly generated during use. SOLUTION: In the absorbent article 1, the upper absorbent single body 20 is superposed on the skin side surface of the lowermost absorbent single body 10 and they are releasably connected by a temporary securing seal 8. The lowermost absorbent single body 10 has a flexural rigidity higher than that of the upper absorbent single body 20, and further the lowermost absorbent single body 10 has a compression restoring rate higher than that of the upper absorbent single body 20. Consequently, the twists and the wrinkles of the lowermost absorbent single body 10 can be prevented when the upper absorbent single body 20 is pressed to a excretion site, the bulk of the lowermost absorbent single body 10 is restored, and the contact feeling pressed to the excretion site is enhanced after peeling the upper absorbent single body 20.
