PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a food cooker capable of grilling food with excellent flavor without browning it in a straight line shape. SOLUTION: A plurality of embosses 14 are provided on the surface part 2a of a plate 2 so as to mount meat (foodstuff), and a distance LA between the center parts of two embosses 14 adjacent along one direction A and a distance LT between the center parts of two embosses 14 adjacent along the other direction T orthogonal to the one direction A are set equally at 18.4 mm. The meat is cooked by receiving conductive heat from the peak part of the embosses 14 and radiation heat from a foodstuff non-contact part 16 and grilled meat is obtained. At this time, since the meat is supported by the plurality of embosses 14 arranged at the equal intervals in one direction A along the surface part 2a and the direction T orthogonal to it, the obtained meat is grilled homogeneous, plump and soft as a whole.
