A light conduction element has a longitudinal optical body (10,12) with several light exit zones and with a light coupling surface coupled via a light source (18,20) into the optical body (10,12) and reflection facets for deflecting the light on to the assigned light exit zone. Between the reflection facets in the longitudinal direction of the optical body (10,12) are provided free zones which do not serve to deflect light on to the light exit zones. An independent claim is also included for a light.
