The electrically conductible contact thread has the stretchability of the whole thread limited by the non-elastic core thread. A polyester thread or a polyester multifilament thread can be used as the core thread. A metallically coated synthetic fiber or a high-grade steel staple fiber is used as the conductible multifilament thread, and a silver-coated nylon may be used as the metallically coated synthetic fiber. The electrically conductible threads are wound around the non-elastic core thread in an opposite direction. An independent claim is included for a fabric comprising at least one electrically conductible contact thread.
