The wrench (10) can be fitted with one or two working ends such as an open end head (12), a ring-shaped head (13), or with differently designed ends of different sizes. The handle (11) between the working ends (12,13) is of a long flat shape accommodating a strain indicator (20). The strain level is shown of a display (21) at one side of the handle (11). An acoustic signal is emitted (22) when the wrench (10) has reached the ideal position, preventing the user from pushing or pulling further. The device (20, 22) can be adjusted for dealing with either plastic or metal objects.
