The invention relates to a pantograph window wiper (1) comprising: a driving support (10) to be displaced following an alternating rotational movement; an arm (20) mounted in a manner that enables it to axially rotate relative to the driving support (10); a wiper blade (30) mounted in a manner that enables it to move while pivoting with regard to the arm (20); first means (40) that control the axial rotation of the arm (20) according to the angular displacement of the driving support (10), and; second means (50) for controlling the pivoting of the wiper blade (30) according to the angular displacement of the driving support (10). The invention is characterized in that the second controlling means (50) are capable of generating, of transmitting via a transmission element, and of converting a translational movement into a rotational movement that can be directly applied to the wiper blade (30), and in that the transmission element extends essentially in the rotational axis of the arm (20).
