ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT AND CONTENTS MANAGING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electronic equipment for satisfactorily managing transcoded contents in response to user's desire.

SOLUTION: A transcoding part 12 transcodes contents stored in a recording part 11 into a different compression format, and a contents transmitting part 15 transmits the transcoded contents via a network connecting part 14. Then, a judgement part 13 judges whether to store the transcoded contents, and a control part 10 stores the transcoded contents in the recording part 11 when the transcoded contents are judged to be stored.
