<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the safety of a vehicle by detecting a driver's asthenopic state. <P>SOLUTION: The driver's state estimation device 1 comprises a viewing object depth detection means 3a detecting the depth to a viewing object; and a visual function estimation means 3b estimating the driver's visual function state based on the magnitude relation between the depth detected by the viewing object depth detection means 3a and a predetermined distance.
