<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system and a starting method of the system, as well as an electronic apparatus capable of starting, even after being placed in an unused condition for a long period of time. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system is structured by a fuel cell, an external energy receiving part accepting external energy from the outside, a power accumulator, temporarily storing power supplied from the fuel cell or the external energy receiving part and supplying the accumulated power to an external loading device. Then, the feature of the fuel cell system is such that the fuel cell is started by the external energy, obtained from the external energy receiving part.
