<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption of a receiver in a period wherein video data transfer is not performed. <P>SOLUTION: In this information processor, a TV tuner capture unit 123 has a plurality of processing units including a bus interface unit 234. A diver 40 includes a module 41 detecting an input source necessary for execution of a TV application 50, a module 42 detecting a video data transfer instruction from the TV application 50, and a module 43. When the video data transfer instruction is detected, the module 43 controls for setting only the processing unit necessary to receive a video signal from the detected input source and to convert the video signal into video data of a prescribed format to an operable state among the plurality of processing units except the bus interface unit 234, and for setting each of all the residual processing units among the plurality of processing units except the unit 234 to a power-saving state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
