PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an epoxy resin composition giving cured products which are suitable as optoelectronic members such as optical semiconductor sealants, electronic circuit sealants, optical waveguides, optical communication lenses, organic EL element sealants and optical films, and have optical characteristics such as transparency and light resistance, long period heat resistance, and electric characteristics such as dielectric constant. SOLUTION: This epoxy resin composition is characterized by containing a 1,3-bis(glycidyloxyphenyl)adamantane compound represented by the general formula (I), and the optoelectronic member using the same.
