摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To electrically accurately detect and correct deviation of beam spots of a plurality of laser light sources possessed by an image forming apparatus in the main scanning direction. SOLUTION: A laser scanning apparatus is equipped with a light source part 11 comprising a first laser light source 11A and a second laser light source 11B, a scanner for moving laser lights from a plurality of these laser light sources in the main scanning direction for scanning, a light receiving sensor 19 receiving the laser lights polarized and moved for scanning by the scanner, an INDEX signal forming part 24 for forming an index signal SIND 2 synchronized to a pixel clock PXLCLK 2 for the second laser light source 11B based on the output of the light receiving sensor 19 obtained from the laser light from the first laser light source 11A, and an INDEX signal forming part 23 for forming an index signal SIND 1 synchronized to a pixel clock PXLCLK 1 for the first laser light source 11A based on the output of the light receiving sensor 19 obtained from the laser light from the second laser light source 11B.
