<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video recording system capable of performing a video recording reservation from the outside, easily setting which video recording reservation is simultaneously recorded, improving user's handleability, and obtaing the result equivalent to the case of operating a main body can be obtained even if a video recording title is viewed and edited outside. <P>SOLUTION: A broadcasting signal 16 is recorded as an encrypted recording title 14, and an encrypted recording title 15 is also recorded in a portable recorder 22 via a digital transmission line 17. In the case of reproduction, an encryption key for reproducing the encrypted recording titles 14, 15 or a reproduction right for permitting reproduction of the encrypted recording titles 14, 15 is exchanged between a stationary recorder 21 and the portable recorder 22 via the digital transmission line 17 or an outdoor network 18.
