PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power amplifier with automatic switching functions which can variably control output power and can improve efficiency and operation range thereof through smooth and automatic switching. SOLUTION: The power amplifier with automatic switching functions includes: a number of power amplification stages to each of which an envelope signal is inputted; and a number of switching circuits, respectively installed on front ends of the number of power amplification stages or on the number of power amplification stages, each for individually turning on/off the number of power amplification stages through individual switching corresponding to magnitude of the inputted envelope signal based on each reference voltage. The power amplifier is operated by turning on all the circuits when relatively large power is needed, and the operation is disabled by partially turning off the circuits when relatively small power is needed, according to the magnitude of the envelope signal.
