PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device for implementing a process required for an interruption of an external power supply when the external power supply is interrupted. SOLUTION: If a relationship that a potential Vcp of an internal power supply is higher than a potential exVdd of an external power supply is effected, a power interruption sensing section 4 outputs an interruption signal OUT at a "H" level from an output node N1. A potential Vpp of the internal power supply is used for a drive source of the interruption signal OUT. A potential of the interruption signal OUT is approximately equal to the potential Vpp of the internal power supply. If NMOS transistors 28, 30 receive the interruption signal OUT at the "H" level from the power interruption sensing section 4, a current flows from nodes having the potentials Vcp, Vdd of the internal power supply into a node having a ground potential.
