摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foreign matter inspection device for reliably and rapidly detecting foreign matters mixed into a liquid product inside a vessel even if a cylindrical vessel or an angular vessel having an irregular shape at a side section is inspected. SOLUTION: The device comprises an irradiation means that is arranged inside and outside an annular conveyance path in which a placement section is arranged at the periphery on a star wheel disc that is rotated and driven speedily and applies luminous flux having parallel rays to a side from a plurality of directions around an object to be inspected; an imaging means that is arranged outside the annular optical path and simultaneously receives transmission and reflection light from the object to be inspected from two directions around the object to be inspected for imaging the object to be inspected; and an inspection means for inspecting the presence of the foreign matters, based on the image signal of the imaging means. Also, the first and second imaging means image the object to be inspected by setting an angleθ1 formed by both the light reception axes to 30-90 degrees and an angleθ2 formed by the light reception axis of the imaging means and the luminous flux of the irradiation means adjacent to the imaging means to 30-60 degrees.
