PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a vessel from being damaged by a float mounted to a pile used when various vessels such as a construction vessel, a pleasure boat, and a houseboat are tied up at a predetermined position of rivers, lakes, ponds, bays and the like. SOLUTION: A hole 1a for inserting a pile 2 for tying up a vessel is provided on a central axial line. This float has a cylindrical shape and a predetermined length, and is made of a material for generating a buoyancy. It follows the mounted pile 2 upward and downward according to a water level. When a skin 1c of a cylindrical foamed element 1b is made of urethane resin, appropriate flexibility can be given. When at least two synthetic fiber reinforcing layers 1d are provided in a range contacting a vessel S, the portion contacting the vessel S becomes more flexible, and the float itself becomes difficult to damage against the shocks of the vessel S.
