Fuel improvers capable of saving fuels and reducing air pollution at the same time by using isopropyl alcohol as an effective component are provided. As a fuel improver mixed with a fuel before using, the fuel improver comprises a principal constituent of isopropyl alcohol containing ferrous and ferric salts. The ferrous and ferric salts are compounds represented by a formula Fe^+2 mFe^+3 nCl2m+3n, wherein m and n represent positive integers. The ferrous and ferric salts are magnetized. The ferrous and ferric salts are compounds obtained by performing a process of adding the crystal to a solution prepared by semi-dissolving or dissolving magnetite into concentrated hydrochloric acid after obtaining a crystal by dissolving magnetite into concentrated hydrochloric acid, neutralizing the magnetite dissolved solution and concentrating the neutralized solution.
