<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image carrier cartridge and a process cartridge which are designed such that time and effort needed for their assembly and disassembly are reduced while the accurate positioning of an image carrier and each member disposed around it is ensured, and to provide an image forming apparatus capable of forming a high quality image by having the image carrier cartridge or process cartridge. <P>SOLUTION: An upper housing 78 incorporating a scorotron type electrifier 29 and a cleaning member 32 is fitted over a lower housing 77 incorporating a photosensitive drum 28. A drum shaft 34 is inserted into the upper drum insertion hole 116 of the upper housing 78, the lower drum insertion hole 89 of the lower housing 77, and a photosensitive drum 28.
