<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination apparatus capable of preventing color irregularity at a light emission face and an irradiation area. <P>SOLUTION: The illumination apparatus has a plurality of light emitting diode chips 2a, 2b as a light source 1, and makes an emission face 5 as one face of a light guide plate 3 in thickness direction emit light by making one peripheral face of the light guide plate 3 serve as an incident face 4 introducing the light from the light source 1. The light source 1 is formed by arraying plural kinds of light emitting diode chips 2a, 2b different in color from each other as one set in width direction of the incident face 4, and also arraying them in longitudinal direction thereof. Here, the light-emitting diode chips 2a, 2b in respective sets are arrayed so that the color of the light emitted from the diode chips 2a, 2b adjacent in longitudinal direction of the incident face 4 are different from each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
