<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple-configuration and low-cost computer abnormality detection circuit and detection method. <P>SOLUTION: In this computer abnormality detection circuit, a used computer is set to be one, a random value that is an initial value is generated by the computer, and a series of different kinds of arithmetic processing is performed such that an arithmetic result becomes the same value as the initial value, by use of an arithmetic function of the computer to the initial value. Because the result of the arithmetic processing does not become the same value as the initial value when abnormality is present, the circuit detects the abnormality of the computer by comparing the initial value and the arithmetic result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
