<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active-matrix-driven display device capable of suppressing luminance variation due to variation with time and temperature variation without increasing power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: Each of pixels constituting a display panel has an adjustment transistor TR5 and a capacitor C2 in addition to an organic EL element 42, a writing transistor TR1, a threshold compensating transistor TR2, a driving transistor TR3, an on/off transistor TR4, and a capacitor C1. During a reset period in a one-frame period, the TR4 is turned off after the TR2, TR4, and TR5 are turned on to let the capacitor C1 hold a voltage corresponding to the voltage of the organic EL element 42 and the operating threshold voltage of the TR3, and then the TR2 and TR5 are turned off. After the reset period, the TR1 is turned on to write a data voltage DATA to a node NA, the gate voltage of the TR3 is adjusted to a voltage corresponding to the data voltage, the voltage of the organic EL element 42, and the operating threshold voltage, and the organic EL element 42 is driven. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
