摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode catalyst layer that can keep high performance for a long term, a catalyst for a solid polymer fuel cell, and a solid polymer fuel cell using the same.

SOLUTION: The anode catalyst layer for solid polymer type fuel cell comprises a catalyst containing Pt and Ru, and a polymer. The ratio of the number of atoms of Ru to Pt after the application of a current of 100 mA/cm2for 100 hours is in the range of 0.8≤(the number of atoms of Ru contained in the range of 1 μm from the polymer electrolyte film side/the number of atoms of Pt)/(the number of atoms of Ru contained in the range of 1 μm from the opposite side of the polymer electrolyte film/the number of atoms of Pt)≤1.
