<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel metal chelate pigment, a coloring composition containing the pigment, an ink jet recording liquid, an ink jet recording method, a color toner, and a color filter. <P>SOLUTION: The metal chelate pigment contains a pigment represented by general formula (1) as a ligand (where R<SB>1</SB>denotes a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an cyclo-alkyl group, or a phenyl group; R<SB>2</SB>, R<SB>3</SB>, and R<SB>4</SB>each denote a hydrogen atom or a substituent; Z<SB>1</SB>denotes -O-, -S-, -N(R<SB>5</SB>)-, or -C(R<SB>6</SB>)(R<SB>7</SB>)-; Z<SB>2</SB>denotes -C(R<SB>8</SB>)= or -C(R<SB>9</SB>)(R<SB>10</SB>)-; Z<SB>3</SB>denotes -C(R<SB>11</SB>)= or -C(R<SB>12</SB>)(R<SB>13</SB>)-; R<SB>5</SB>, R<SB>6</SB>, R<SB>7</SB>, R<SB>8</SB>, R<SB>9</SB>, R<SB>10</SB>, R<SB>11</SB>, R<SB>12</SB>, and R<SB>13</SB>each denote a hydrogen atom or a substituent; the bond between Z<SB>2</SB>and Z<SB>3</SB>is a single bond or a double bond; when R<SB>8</SB>and R<SB>11</SB>denote substituents, they may bind with each other to form a ring; Z<SB>4</SB>denotes -N= or -C(R<SB>14</SB>)=; Z<SB>5</SB>denotes -N= or -C(R<SB>15</SB>)=; Z<SB>6</SB>denotes -N= or -C(R<SB>16</SB>)=; R<SB>14</SB>, R<SB>15</SB>, and R<SB>16</SB>each denote a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, a cycloalkyl group or a phenyl group; and when R<SB>14</SB>and R<SB>15</SB>each denote an alkenyl group, they may bind with each other to form a ring). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
